Scooby-Doo! and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery


Successfully creating social media content that simultaneously appealed to two drastically different audiences

Overview

When Scooby-Doo! and the Gang meet rock legends KISS, you know there's going to be one heck of a rockin' mystery! Warner Bros. Home Entertainment tasked Digital Media Management with designing content marketing the release of Scooby-Doo! and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery. Additionally, we created graphics which promoted a live KISS-themed cosplay content at San Diego Comic-Con 2015.

Objectives

The goal was to design a fleet of content that simultaneously appealed to two drastically different audiences: Scooby-Doo! fans and KISS fans. We accomplished this by taking key elements from each brand – the colors of Scooby-Doo!, slightly more psychedelic elements from KISS – and merging them into one.

Results

The content produced successfully targeted both demographics, generating awarness and high engagement numbers on socials. Additionally, we dedicated several graphics to promoting a cosplay contest at San Diego Comic-Con, complete with “How-to” face paint tutorials. This concept proved to be a big hit with fans (and produced some great user generated content), who took the opportunity to dress up as their favorite member of KISS.
